Itinerary

Day 1 : Sample Itinerary
Full Itinerary – Full Day Self-guided 8.30am – Arrive at your stunning Everglades’ departure beach at Elanda Point. Pack up your locally handcrafted sea kayak on the pristine lakeside beach in preparation for your wilderness adventure. Kayaking lesson from kayaking expert or our resident pro Vivienne. Thorough briefing, maps and safety checks. Set off on your adventure across the shallow waters of Lake Cootharaba towards the mirrored waterways of the narrows and begin to experience the serene tranquillity of the Noosa Everglades under your own paddle. Keep an eye out for the majestic jabiru! 75min scenic paddle through ancient landscapes, sub-tropical rainforest and the stunning sea of lilies (certain times of year) to Fig Tree Point. Surrounded by expansive vistas and the vast Cooloola Sand Patch and crossing through the sublime sea of lilies, quietly spotting the abundant bird and river life along the way. Pelicans, cormorants, majestic sea eagles, Jabirus and black swans can be spotted here. Break – take a break at Fig Tree Point amongst the sub-tropical rainforest and towering old gum trees (food & drink not included) Wonder at the flora and fauna on the 400 metre Melaleuca boardwalk. Take a refreshing dip to cool off. Paddle deeper in to the ancient waterways towards the famous landmark known as Harry’s Hut. Azure kingfishers and cormorants are often spotted fishing here along this pretty stretch of the river. Lunch – picnic on the bank of the river at Harry’s Hut taking time to enjoy the amazing flora and fauna that surrounds you. Take a refreshing dip to cool off. Paddle to your starting point on the pristine beach at Elanda Point canoe launch 30 minute drive back to Noosa

Departure: Tours depart from Elanda Point Kayak & Canoe Launching Area, QLD  4565

Tour Duration: 8.30am to 3.00 pm

Transport: 
– Complimentary Pick up and Drop off from the Noosa area to Boreen Point (If client is without own transport) is available

Pick up is between 7.30am – 8.00am out the front of their accomodation.
Early/special drop off charge of $45.00 may be charged.
