Noosa is a coastal town located on the Sunshine Coast. Only 2 hours from Brisbane, Noosa is the ideal place to relax but also to do various activities, especially in its Everglades, and many hikes in its national park.

Fraser Island, which is more than 123 km long and 22 km wide, is the largest sand island in the world. This island is composed only of sand and rainforest, so there is no road and you can only drive in 4×4.

Noosa National Park

Noosa National Park: with heavenly beaches and coastal walks, there is something for everyone. You can walk and admire the view from the coast or simply sunbathe on the beach.

Noosa National Park is one of the most visited places in Queensland and offers several walks with an incredible view of the ocean. You will have the choice between shorter and longer hikes.

The Noosa Everglades

The Everglades are swamps with waterways. Located only 40 minutes from Noosa Head, there are only two in the world, one in Florida and the other here in Noosa!

40% of Australia’s native birds are found in the Everglades. If you’re a wildlife lover, you’ll love this place in the heart of nature.

Hop on a boat, kayak or canoe to explore the Everglades. Get your cameras ready: the Everglades is a unique combination of “mirror river”, subtropical forest, and rich flora and fauna (more than 365 species of plants and 700 native animals coexist here).

Relax at Noosa Head

Lake McKenzie on Fraser Island

The most popular lake on the island is Lake McKenzie which is located on a dune. You will be amazed by its turquoise water and white sand.

Birrabeen and Benarroon Lakes on Fraser Island

Birrabeen and Benarroon Lakes are much less touristy than Lake Mckenzie, but just as impressive with their trees growing in the middle of the water, making the landscape even more beautiful.

Lake Wabby on Fraser Island

This freshwater lake is located in the middle of sand dunes. It’ll feel like you’re in a lake right in the middle of the desert… just incredible.

Eli Creek on Fraser Island

Eli Creek River originates inland and flows through the forest, all the way out to sea. You’ll be able to follow the river on foot to the beach, wading in the water.

The wreck of the ship "SS MAHENO" on Fraser Island

The wreck of the ship “SS MAHENO” is one of the best pictures of the island. This ship which ran aground in 1935 following a cyclone is today the only visible wreck of Fraser.

Indian Head at 75 Miles Beach

Indian Head, which is located at the end of 75 Miles Beach, is ideal for whale watching between mid-July and the end of October. If you’re lucky, you’ll also be able to spot dolphins, turtles, and even sharks! Last but not least, you’ll also get a beautiful view of the two surrounding beaches at the most eastern point of the island.

Champagne Pools at Fraser Island

These natural pools are located in the middle of volcanic rocks. A real natural jacuzzi to relax in!

Hike to Central Station

Venture into the rainforest and take a hike to Central Station. A 40-minute hike will take you through the heart of the rainforest, surrounded by palm trees. A truly beautiful tropical setting.
