Byron Bay is a small trendy town on the east coast of NSW. Coveted by tourists for its ‘hippie chic’ vibe and bustling town centre, it’s also popular for its many beaches where you can learn to surf and for its proximity to the Village of Nimbin.

The must-do in Byron Bay is of course the famous walk to Cape Byron Lighthouse. Cape Byron Lighthouse is the most easterly point in Australia. From the lighthouse (June to October), you can spot whales, and at any time of the year you might even see dolphins!
White Beach
White Beach is a beautiful and secluded beach in the Broken Head Reserve. This beach is located 30 minutes from Byron Bay. It is a little piece of paradise where you can enjoy the serenity of the place. On your way to White Beach, you’ll be able to enjoy a beautiful walk through the Australian wilderness.
Sunset on Byron Bay beach
The sunset on the main beach of Byron Bay is also a real highlight, with street performers making this moment unique.
Nightcap National Park
Located just 50 minutes from Byron Bay, Nightcap National Park showcases New South Wales’ highest waterfall – Minyon Falls. A beautiful hike through the rainforest will take you to the waterfall where you can enjoy views of the magnificent waterfalls. There’s even a natural swimming pool at the base of the waterfall.
The village of Nimbin
The famous village of Nimbin is known as the ‘Amsterdam of Australia’. You’ll feel like you’re in another world: the rainbow-coloured houses and buildings will seduce you. There are many souvenir shops and hippie clothing shops a bit everywhere.
The village of Bungalow
The village of Bungalow is popular with locals for its cafes and restaurants. The shops are rather vintage: fashion, home decoration, antiques, souvenirs and art. We strongly recommend that you try the local coffee and cuisine in Bungalow.
The village of Mullumbimby
The village of Mullumbimby, with its many palm trees and great architecture, is very similar to a coastal town. Mullumbimby has one of the three best markets in Australia: the Farmers Market, where farmers offer their local produce.
